Formed out of legendary ’90s DIS-CORE band DISCHANGE, MEANWHILE—one of the top-tier Swedish D-TAKT hardcore bands—returns with a brand new 7" EP in 2026, their first release in an incredible 18 years, on KICK ROCK RECORDS!!

Featuring guitarist Jallo (ex-NO SECURITY / early DISFEAR / TOTALITAR etc.) and drummer Kenko, also renowned as the engineer behind many classic Swedish hardcore records at Communichaos Media Clay Station, the band remains completely faithful to the foundation they’ve held since the DISCHANGE days: DISCHARGE! DISCHARGE! DISCHARGE!!

This time, they go all-in with a sound heavily rooted in “Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing”—right from the first track, a “Drunk with Power”-style riff kicks in, and another track basically stitches together riffs from “The Nightmare Continues” and “The Final Blood Bath.” You might call it straight-up copying… but when it’s done at this level, it becomes something else entirely. You can only bow down to the sheer power and authority!

Some might say “this is blatant imitation!”—but when no one else can pull it off like this, it becomes first-class. A must-listen not only for DISCHARGE fans, but for all hardcore punk devotees.
